Session Q&A

I have gathered a list of the top Q&A’s, if I missed something you are curious about, simply visit my contact page and send me your question and I am happy to address it and get back to you. 

 

Q: How much do you charge?

A: Please check the Investment Page for my options. There is also a menu drop down for the Retainer information there also and it is important that you read those details as well before booking. The retainer fee is due payable via paypal and must be paid at time of booking to hold your session date and time, no exceptions.  Your retainer also holds current pricing at time of booking as my pricing is subject to changing at any time.

 

Q: How far out are you booking?

A: At the moment i am booked 2 month’s out. If you have a last minute session you would like, send me an e-mail and i will let you know if i can accomodate your request.

 

Q: How long does my session run?

A: Full sessions run for 1 hour and newborn sessions runs from 2-4 hours.  My clock starts ticking the moment i snap the first picture. Yes, my sessions run on a timer and you must be on time too.

 

Q: How many pictures do I get and how long before I have them?

A: Please see the Collections & Investment page HERE to see how many pictures are included in each collection.  And should you wish to purchase more we can always discuss an Add On Package before the editing stage so that I can factor that into the turn time when scheduling your gallery delivery time as well as invoice you at time of session.  There will be exceptions at times when you may see additional photos in your gallery that you may be interested in purchasing and if so simply let me know and I can send over my current add on pricing for already edited photos.   I take great pride in providing expertly edited photos and so your gallery will most likely be ready in 2 -2.5 weeks after date of session.  Should I have an extremely full schedule it could take 3 weeks.  Please be sure to advise me of any “need date” you may have when booking your session should you have a party or announcement you wish to use your photos at/on so that I can take this into consideration.  Should this be the case we can discuss your options, there is an expedite fee of $150 to bring your gallery ahead of all the others, excluding bundled packages.  Bundled packages will need to be addressed case by case to determine an expedite fee should you need your photos sooner.  But, please keep in mind that I truly want to give your photos the best care and my expertise when editing them so expediting them should be a last resort.

 

Q: How do I get my pictures?

A: I provide you with a link to download your digital files plus to get your print release.

 

Q: What is a print release?

A: Print release is my permission for you to print unlimited pictures and is included in your download. You do not own the copyright to my images, you must not crop, color correct or make any changes to my images. This also means you may not enter any contest or publish my images without my permission. If you would like to own certain images, please send me a message and i can price the copyrights.

 

Q: Where do the sessions take place?

A: Upon booking we will discuss where you would like the session to take place, I do travel for an additional rate. I do all my photography outdoors, newborn sessions are the only exception.

 

Q: Do you offer prints or photo books?

A: I do not offer prints at the moment but if you are interested on professional prints i can price them for you. And I also have a photo book designer that I work with that can design a book for you for a reasonable design fee for those of you that have a busy schedule but want a book.

 

Q: Where do you recommend I print my photos?

A: Please print my pictures from www.mpix.com,  and do not color correct. Please do not print from walgreens, cvs or other chain stores. Their machines do not recognize professional edits and you can end up with photos that are not a reflection of what I have taken the time to edit and produce.  You could very well end up with photos with colors that are too saturated, under processed, simply put etc.

 

NEWBORN & MATERNITY SESSIONS

Q: When should I book my newborn session?

A: Contact me a few weeks before hand so i can pencil you in around your due date. Babies are so unpredictable so i always accommodate for these sessions. Send me an e-mail or a text message when you are at the hospital so we can book you within the first 7-10 days after birth.

 

Q: Do you come to my house for newborn sessions?

A: Yes, and I provide you with all the info necessary ahead of time to make the session as successful as possible and it is imperative that we work together to follow my tips and requests so we can get the best possible photos.

 

Q: Do you provide props?

A: Yes, when you book a newborn session with me you have access to my huge newborn prop stash. I have a variety of vintage and antique one of a kind items as well as the latest  trends in designer props, wraps, knits and headbands.

 

Q: When do I book my maternity session?

A: I recommend around 30 weeks average, some mommies prefer to be photographed later on  and i respect that.

 

Q: Do you provide a belly to baby package?

A: I can, send me a message for pricing.
